Compared to the 2 phase stepper motor, the 3 phase stepper motor has a smaller step angle 1.2 degree (300 steps/revolution), which creates a more balanced rotating magnetic field. It has key advantages of smoother motion, higher resolution, better microstepping, less resonance and overshoot, improved high-speed, performance, better torque utilization, lower noise. Frankhumotor's 86mm (NEMA 34) 3-phase stepper motors are preferred where smoothness, precision, low vibration, and quiet operation matter—such as CNC, robotics, medical, and semiconductor equipment.
